![]() Formed on the 50th anniversary of Country legend, Hank Williams' untimely death, the current line-up consists of Piss Pissedoffherson (mouth, guitar), Lightnin' Rob (lead guitar), Marcial Vasquez (bass, backing mouth) and Gentleman Smith (drums). For the past four years, The Devil's Own has been mining the circuit of dimly lit stages throughout the Bay Area, as well as other portions of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Colorado, clocking in well over 100 shows. In October of 2004, they released their debut 13 song album, Everything Is Broken Always, on the self-financed PASS-A-FIST! Recording Corporation label to modest acclaim. Over the course of its tenure, The Devil's Own has shared the stage, in one format or another, with the likes of I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch in the House, Two Cow Garage, Scott H. Biram, Rex Hobart, Rocky Votolato, Carolyn Mark, Michael Dean Damron and thee Loyal Bastards, Red Cloud West, the Runaway Boys, Kleveland, the Weary Boys, 500 Miles to Memphis, Neil Haggerty, Mark Pickerel and a myriad of sadly now defunct local bands, as well as some still plowing it up. In the coming months, The Devil's Own will most likely hunker down in a studio to commence recording the follow up to Everything Is Broken Always. The working title thus far is The Essence and Loneliness of Lightning. We'll keep ya posted.
